Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Salvadorenas 2 's 42. Metapan forced 27 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Salvadorenas 2 's players. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for the winners and naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Silvia Vega (176-2003) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Cuban forward Eilen Gilbert (183-1998) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds.
