The game had a very big importance for fourth-rankedCojute as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cojute defeated 3rd ranked Metapan on the road 72-66 . Strangely Metapan outrebounded Cojute 55-34 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Jeremy Agosto (177-1997) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Pablo Figueroa (186-2000) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Cojute players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican forward Xavier Zambrana (193-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-1997, college: Biola, CA) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Cojute have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Metapan at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with A.Lobos.
