Rather expected game when 9th rankedSanta Tecla (2-11) was edged at home by seventh ranked Brujos (5-7) 86-85 on Thursday. Brujos forced 23 Santa Tecla turnovers. Strangely Santa Tecla outrebounded Brujos 50-28 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Marcus Millien (188-2000, college: Carlow) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Julio Crespin (184-1997) accounted for 14 points. Brujos' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Honduran Francisco Forbs (198-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and Luis Portal (188-1986) added 24 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Santa Tecla in the defeat. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. Brujos maintains seventh place with 5-7 record. Santa Tecla lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost.
