Very important is a road loss of second rankedBatanecas (9-4) against eighth ranked Ahuachapan (3-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Batanecas were defeated by Ahuachapan in Ahuachapan 76-66 . Dominican Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Vanessa Bautista supported her with 18 points and 20 rebounds. Even a double-double of 11 points and 28 rebounds by Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) did not help to save the game for Batanecas . Cuban swingman Maria Montero (176-1998) added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Four Batanecas players scored in double figures. Ahuachapan moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Santa Tecla 2 and PSN. Loser Batanecas keep the second position with four games lost.
