Liga MB top team -Metapan (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Independiente (7-7) 79-59 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Independiente. It was a good game for who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. Metapan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Noryen Lasley (201, college: Ave Maria) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Darnell Johnson (201, college: CSUSB, agency: Gulf Coast Hoops) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Independiente. Metapan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Independiente at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.
