Regular Season Round 2: Forza - Olmeca 96-98

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Forza at the home court. Hosts were edged by Olmeca 98-96. Strangely Forza outrebounded Olmeca 50-27 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forza was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Dylan Castillo notched 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Diego Villagran (-93) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-89) did not help to save the game for Forza. Walter Gasparico (-89) added 12 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Four Forza players scored in double figures. Olmeca will play against Club Force in Guatemala City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Forza will have a break next round.
