Dorados (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat Ciudad (0-8) in Ciudad Juarez 116-99. Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad's 38. They outrebounded Ciudad 39-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dorados players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Juan Contreras (188-97) who recorded 28 points and American guard Jerome Seagears (185-92, college: UNLV) added 12 points and 11 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dorados' next round opponent will be Soles (#4) in Ojinaga. Ciudad will play against NCG Potros and hopes to get finally their first victory.
