Top ranked Phoenix (3-8) recorded its eighth loss on the court of eleventh ranked Las Plebes on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Las Plebes 67-41. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Phoenix's 30. Las Plebes forced 20 Phoenix turnovers. American forward Danielle Forrest-Higgins (178, college: Morgan St.) fired 17 points for the winners. The other American import swingman Jessica Fairweather (178-1989, college: Queens, NY) chipped in 5 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Las Plebes' coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arleth Ortega produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Thalia Perez added 5 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Las Plebes (5-9) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Barreteras and Algodoneras. Phoenix lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with eight games lost.
