Regular Season Round 3: Libertadores - Plateros 98-89

Libertadores used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Fresnillo 98-89 on Saturday night. Libertadores made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Jordan Adams (196-1994, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Spencer Williams (188-1995, college: Wooster) accounted for 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Nicaraguan-Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-1992) came up with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Puerto Rican Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Plateros in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Plateros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Libertadores will meet Soles (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Plateros will play against Halcones UV Xalapa (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
