Libertadores recorded a loss in Jalisco on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Astros 99-73. Astros dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Libertadores' 26. Astros forced 19 Libertadores turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Libertadores' players. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Four Astros players scored in double figures. Power forward Stephanie Kostowicz (188-1995, college: Milwaukee) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Britney Jones (174-1987, college: UAB) added 15 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Astros is looking forward to face Adelitas in Chihuahua in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Libertadores will have a break next round.
