Not a big story in a game in Veracruz where 5th ranked Rojas (5-5) were defeated by second ranked Libertadores (10-2) 81-76 on Friday. Libertadores forced 22 Rojas turnovers. The best player for the winners was Australian guard Madeleine Garrick (180-1992) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-1995, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Libertadores players scored in double figures. Libertadores' coach Sandro Orlando used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Stasha Carey (188-1995, college: Rutgers, agency: Shark Sports Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) added 24 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Libertadores have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Panteras. Rojas lost fourth consecutive game.
