Regular Season Round 2: Correcaminos - Libertadores 103-102

There was a minor upset when Libertadores were edged by Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria 103-102 on Saturday. Correcaminos shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. American guard Antonio Daye Jr (185, college: Coastal, agency: Players Group) notched 22 points and 4 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Brazilian center Joao Franca (215-1998) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham) did not help to save the game for Libertadores. His fellow American import forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) added 18 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Correcaminos will meet Abejas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Libertadores will have a break next round.
