Regular Season Round 7: Freseras - Plateros 81-98

No shocking result in a game in Irapuato where fifth ranked Plateros (6-8) defeated 7th ranked Freseras (1-13) 98-81 on Sunday. Plateros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Decensae White (198-1988, college: SF State) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Tu Holloway (183-1989, college: Xavier) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. White is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side naturalized American forward David Tanner (200-1991) responded with 17 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and swingman Manuel Hernandez (193-1991) scored 15 points. Five Plateros and four Freseras players scored in double figures. Freseras' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Plateros maintains fifth place with 6-8 record, which they share with Halc.Rojos and Mineros. Freseras lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Correcaminos. Plateros will meet at home league's leader Panteras in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Freseras will play against Correcaminos (#7) in Ciudad Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
