Not a big story in a game in Irapuato where 12th rankedFreseras (1-5) were defeated by third ranked Diablos (6-2) 87-76 on Wednesday. Diablos made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international center Joshua Ibarra (211-1995, college: HCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. Panamanian Daniel Giron (192-1989) helped adding 15 points. American guard Jamari Wheeler (185-1997, college: Ohio St.) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Cullen Russo (206-1994, college: Fresno St.) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Diablos and four Freseras players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Diablos . They maintain third place with 6-2 record behind leader Fuerza Regia, which they share with Mineros. Loser Freseras dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Halc.Rojos.
