Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenMineros (9-8) and Halcones Rojos (6-11), which took place in Veracruz. Higher ranked Mineros were outleveled in a road game by thirteenth ranked Halcones Rojos 84-63 on Thursday. American guard Deshawndre Washington (201, college: NM State) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Kenneth Horton (201-1989, college: CCSU, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Halcones Rojos players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (210-1987, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Mineros . American guard Malik Curry (184-1999, college: WVU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side.
