Tenth-rankedHalcones Rojos (16-16) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (21-11) in Veracruz on Wednesday. The visitors from Xalapa managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Halcones Rojos. It was a great evening for Senegalese-American guard Clevin Hannah (179-1987, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (211-1994, college: USC) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Halcones UV Xalapa's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Colin Dougherty (193-1996, college: Hobart) with 19 points and the other American import Elijah Minnie (203-1994, college: EMU, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Halc.Xalapa moved-up to third place, which they share with Diablos. Loser Halcones Rojos keep the tenth position with 16 games lost.
