Diablos outrebounded Halcones UV Xalapa 42-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Joshua Ibarra (211-1995, college: HCU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican-American guard Sek Henry (193-1987, college: Nebraska) answered with 16 points and Senegalese-American guard Clevin Hannah (179-1987, college: Wichita St.) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Halcones UV Xalapa. Four Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
