There was no surprise in Toluca where 6th rankedLas Avispas (4-10) were defeated by fourth ranked Dragonas (8-6) 60-54 on Sunday. Dragonas dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Las Avispas ' 22. It was a great evening for power forward Zaira Aldama (178-1998) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Paola Velazquez helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Dragonas' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Stefi Abarca with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Gabriela Castrejon scored 9 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Dragonas . Newly promoted Dragonas maintains fourth place with 8-6 record. Las Avispas lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost.
