Regular Season Round 11: Rojas - Adelitas 69-87

LNBPF top team - Adelitas (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Rojas (3-7) in Veracruz 87-69. Adelitas made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Victoria Vivians (185-1994, college: MSU) helped adding 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Adelitas players scored in double figures. Adelitas' coach Maikel Lopez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) scored 15 points. Adelitas have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Rojas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Adelitas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rojas will play again at home against the league's leader Adelitas (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
