Panteras dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos ' 44. Panteras looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Correcaminos ' players. Argentinian-American Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) notched 22 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American guard Terrell Brown (185-1998, college: NM State) supported him with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Panteras' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds by Costa Rican-Belizean Charles Garcia (204-1988, college: Seattle) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos . American point guard Damien Daniels (170-2000, college: ACU) added 14 points and 11 assists for the guests. Five Correcaminos players scored in double figures.
