An interesting game forMieleras (10-2) which hosted in Guanajuato their close opponent Mineras (10-4). Second ranked Mieleras had an easy win 94-59 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mineras. Mieleras dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Mineras ' 24 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Mieleras forced 30 Mineras turnovers. The winners were led by Carolina Lucero who scored that evening 19 points and the former international point guard Paola Beltran (164-1994) supported her with 16 points. Four Mieleras players scored in double figures. Even 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Adriana Chavez (170, college: St.Thomas, TX) did not help to save the game for Mineras . Her fellow American import Veronica Preciado (174-1997, college: CMU) added 14 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Mineras keep the second place with four games lost.
