Mineras had a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Diana Villalobos (170-1998) stepped up and scored 13 points for the winners and American guard Adriana Chavez (170, college: St.Thomas, TX, agency: Daggers Sports) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mineras players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Rachel Theriot (182-1994, college: Nebraska) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
