No shocking result in a game in Leon where sixth rankedSantas (4-10) defeated bottom-ranked Abejas (2-12) 88-80 on Thursday. Santas made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Abejas turnovers. Santas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Kwanza Murray (170-1996, college: Lincoln, PA) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Taylor Jones (173-1997, college: Oakland) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. At the losing side American forward Liz Scott (188-2001, college: Oklahoma) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Brianna Jackson (190-2000, college: Troy) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Abejas' coach Jose Sierra tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Santas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Freseras. Abejas lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost.
