Not a big story in a game in Leon where 8th rankedAbejas (2-12) were defeated by sixth ranked Santas (4-10) 71-64 on Friday. Santas outrebounded Abejas 393-272 including a 375-260 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American center Jillian Hollingshead (196-2003, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 assists. Her fellow American import guard Kaia Harrison (172-2001, college: Wake Forest) helped adding 14 points. Santas' coach Luis Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Liz Scott (188-2001, college: Oklahoma) responded with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Spanish center Umo Diallo (193-1998) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Santas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Freseras. Abejas lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost.
