Halcones de Ciudad Obregon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Toros ' 28 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Toros 33-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Toros were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Josh Perkins (191-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. The former international Gabriel Giron (192-1988) came up with 22 points and American center Gerard DeVaughn (205-1988, college: Stillman) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Toros in the defeat. Toros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
