The most exciting game of round 9 in the LSB took place in Esteli. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best Real Esteli (4-2) to seventh ranked Cacique D. (4-2) 92-91 in the game for the second place. Strangely Real Esteli outrebounded Cacique D. 49-34 including 36 on the offensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Real Esteli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Jeremy Agosto who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Dominican forward Xavier de la Rosa (196-91) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: Southern Miss) added 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cacique D. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Real Esteli. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
