Top ranked Real Esteli (12-5) recorded its fifth loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Ingenieria (10-7) 88-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Real Esteli. They outrebounded Real Esteli 43-28 including 31 on the offensive glass. Ingenieria looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Ronald Lawton who scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Rudy Taylor (198-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Vansdell Thomas (185-86) produced 40 points (!!!) and Cuban Lisvan Valdez (196-88) added 24 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Real Esteli's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ingenieria maintains fourth place with 10-7 record.
