Regular Season Round 13: Leon - Jaguares 85-68

The game between second ranked Jaguares (10-2) and seventh ranked Leon (4-7) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Jaguares were defeated by Leon on the road 85-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jaguares. Leon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-Panamanian Adalberto Rojas (200-1986) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Pablo Rivas chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Leon players scored in double figures. At the losing side Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leon maintains seventh place with 4-7 record. Jaguares at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Leon are looking forward to face higher ranked Brumas (#4) in Jinotega in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jaguares will play on the road against Indigenas in Matagalpa and are hoping to win this game.
