Very expected game when bottom-ranked UNI (0-12) was smashed at home by first ranked Jaguares (11-2) 80-40 on Saturday. Jaguares held UNI to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Jaguares forced 24 UNI turnovers and outrebounded them 65-42 including a 34-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) notched 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals to lead the effort and center Guisselle Rodriguez supported her with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Mariam Urbina (-2000) did not help to save the game for UNI. Center Brisheyda Thomas (183-2007) added 0 points and 15 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jaguares have an impressive eight-game winning streak.
