The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Caribbean Coast (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Tigres (1-4). Caribbean Coast smashed Tigres 100-77. Caribbean Coast had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) who helped to win the game recording 44 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) who added 23 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Jose Perez (-1999) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Lorenzo Martinez (203-1997, college: Southwestern, KS) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Caribbean Coast keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Leon. Tigres at the other side keep the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Indigenas.
