Regular Season Round 6: Leonas - Jaguares 69-68

Jaguares (6-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fifth ranked Leonas on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Leonas 69-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Jaguares. Leonas forced 21 Jaguares turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Jocelyn Taylor (183-1997, college: SEMO) who scored 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Jessica Marino (-2000) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Leonas' coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman DAsia Chambers (182-1992, college: Slippery Rock) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and center Linda Patterson added 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Leonas maintains fifth position with 2-6 record. Jaguares at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. Leonas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
