Bottom-ranked Tigres managed to get a third victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Rivas 99-91. Tigres made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Rivas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-2001, college: Oklah.Christian) orchestrated the victory by scoring 47 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Cuban Emmanuel Calderon (198-1998) contributed with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Felix Ramos (-2003) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Luis Urbina (180-1996) added 28 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Rivas. Five Rivas players scored in double figures. Tigres (3-18) moved-up to ninth place. Rivas lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom.
