The game in Matagalpa was also quite interesting. Third rankedBrumas (18-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Indigenas (6-17). Brumas defeated Indigenas 83-73 on Saturday. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Indigenas ' 28. They outrebounded Indigenas 42-29 including a 37-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-1983, college: Chicago St.) who added 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Brumas' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Tylan Dean (185-1999, college: Rogers St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Elgin Mejia (-2001) scored 23 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brumas moved-up to second place. Indigenas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost.
