Very significant wasBrumas ' (#2, 4-1) victory against one of their biggest challengers Costa Caribe (3-2) 81-72 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Costa Caribe. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Puerto Rican point guard Evander Ortiz (180-1997, college: PR-Bayamon) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185-1992) with 30 points and 8 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Oenis Medina (203-1998, college: Kutztown) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Costa Caribe's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brumas maintains second position with 4-1 record behind leader Jaguares. Costa Caribe at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost.
