LSB top team -Jaguares (7-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Tigres (1-6) in Corinto 87-74 . Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jaguares made 8 blocks. The winners were led by Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) who scored that evening 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and supported him with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) did not help to save the game for Tigres . American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jaguares have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Loser Tigres stay at the bottom place with six games lost.
