The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Managua:Jaguares (#3) and Leonas (#4). Leonas were smashed at home by 16 points 51-67 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Jaguares forced 20 Leonas turnovers and had a 38-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Leonas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Mariah Miller (182-1998, college: CSU) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Yayma Boulet chipped in 12 points. produced 15 points and 5 steals and Junieth Murillo added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jaguares have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-4 record having just three points less than leader Real Esteli. Leonas at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost.
