Flecheros forced 19 Jaguares turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) replied with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Jaguares.
