Very predictable result in Managua where ninth rankedAmericas 2 (6-5) defeated 16th ranked Pescadores (4-10) 79-75 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Americas 2 forced 32 Pescadores turnovers. Strangely Pescadores outrebounded Americas 2 59-43 including 18 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Americas 2 made 9 blocks. The former international forward Troy Andrews (196-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 7 blocks for the winners. Johan Porras chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Americas 2's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Danny Padilla produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and Gerson Lampson added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Pescadores players scored in double figures. Americas 2 maintains ninth place with 6-5 record, which they share with La Trinidad. Loser Pescadores dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost.
