Very predictable result when second ranked Leones (13-1) outscored on the road 18th ranked Leon (2-10) 150-69 on Sunday. Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 112 of its points in the paint compared to Leon's 38. They outrebounded Leon 50-27 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Leon's players. Elijah Allen scored 17 points, 21 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Kevin Gutierrez (185-2002) chipped in 29 points and 5 assists during the contest.
