Regular Season Round 4: Caballos - Univ.West 77-88

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Caballos (2-2) to second ranked Univ.West (3-1) 88-77. It ended the two-game winning streak of Caballos. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a great shooting night for Univ.West especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Franchesco Controny who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and point guard Gonzalo Ortiz Jr (182-2) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Univ.West players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jose Montenegro (191-98) responded with 26 points and Amilcar Sanchez scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Univ.West keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Correcaminos and Atletico. Caballos at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Panteras.
