Important game to mention about took place in Panama City. Fifth ranked Panteras (3-3) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging bottom-ranked Toros (0-6) 70-67 on Monday evening. Luis Dinolis (185-93, college: Broward CC) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Alejandro Grant (199-93) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Panteras' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 16 points and 21 rebounds by Colombian center John Hernandez (207-84) did not help to save the game for Toros. Venezuelan point guard Jose Luis Osio (165) added 12 points and 5 assists. Four Panteras and five Toros players scored in double figures. Panteras moved-up to fourth place. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
