Important game to mention about took place in Panama City. Fifth ranked Panteras (5-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Dragones (4-4) 78-77 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dragones. Panteras players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican forward Cristian Joan Duran (201-96, college: Tenn Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Alejandro Grant (199-93) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Pablo Rivas (198-94, college: NCCU) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Gil Atencio (202-96, college: St.Clair) added 15 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Dragones. Four Dragones players scored in double figures. Panteras have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Dragones dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Panteras will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Panama City Atletico.
