Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Colonias G. (4-2). They were defeated by third ranked Paranaense (2-3) 85-75 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Colonias G.. Paranaense forced 19 Colonias G. turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Karls Godans (190) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Elias Sosa (194-80) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Paranaense players scored in double figures. Nicolas Hepp responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Sebastian Konrad scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paranaense maintains third position in Group A with 2-3 record having just one point less than leader San Jose. Colonias G. at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by San Jose. Colonias G. will play next round against league's leader San Jose trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
