Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion: Olimpia K. and Campo Alto. Olimpia K. crushed visiting Campo Alto by 33 points 104-71. Olimpia K. forced 28 Campo Alto turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Campo Alto's players. Campo Alto was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Guillermo Araujo (204-1982, agency: Pro Sports) nailed 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international forward Alejandro Peralta (195-1991, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 9 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Olimpia K. players scored in double figures. Swingman Oscar Laconich (184-1986) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Hugo Paredes (198-1984) added 18 points respectively for Campo Alto in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
