Regular Season Round 6: San Jose - Campo Alto 81-51
Date: September 26, 2022
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion: San Jose (#1) and Campo Alto (#7). San Jose (9-0) smashed visiting Campo Alto (0-9) by 30 points 81-51. San Jose forced 20 Campo Alto turnovers. It was a good game for the former international forward Fernando Dose (200-1994) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international guard Carlos Luis Vallejos (183-1992) contributed with 11 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international swingman Daniel Perez (190-1984) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and guard Jose Cabrera (-1990) added 10 points in the effort for Campo Alto. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Jose have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-0 record. Campo Alto at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. San Jose's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Libertad A..
