We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Indios (3-3) beat one of their biggest challengers Cangrejeros (2-3) in Mayaguez 82-75 on Friday. American center Jessie Govan (211-97, college: Georgetown) notched 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Jaysean Paige (188-94, college: WVU) supported him with 19 points. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for Cangrejeros. American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Indios moved-up to third place. Loser Cangrejeros keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Ponce and San German. Indios will meet Atleticos (#4) in the next round. Cangrejeros will play against Mets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
