No shocking result in a game when second ranked Brujos (13-6) crushed bottom-ranked Grises (0-14) in Humacao 94-67 on Monday. Brujos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Grises' 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Ole Miss, agency: Shark Sports Management) nailed 24 points and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St.) accounted for 17 points. American Jonathan Ocasio (196-92, college: New Haven) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American-Guyanese forward Kevin Mickle (201-93, college: Ohio) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Grises in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brujos. They maintain second place with 13-6 record having just four point less than leader Bayamon. Grises lost their fourteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 14 games lost. Brujos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Grises will play against Gigantes (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
