Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Leones (13-11) outplayed 6th ranked Atleticos (6-18) in San German 108-85 on Wednesday. Leones made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-91, agency: Interperformances) notched 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and American forward Aleem Ford (203-96, college: Wisconsin) supported him with 23 points. Four Leones players scored in double figures. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) did not help to save the game for Atleticos. American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leones maintains fourth position with 13-11 record. Atleticos lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. Leones will meet at home league's second-placed Cariduros in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Atleticos will have a break next round.
