The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Cangrejeras (13-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Toa Baja (1-16). Cangrejeras did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-69. Cangrejeras outrebounded Toa Baja 47-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Dayshalee Salaman (163-90, college: LMU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard Kirby Burkholder (183-92, college: JMU) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Cangrejeras' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Alysha Cotto came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Kaela Hilaire (157-98, college: Stony Brook) added 7 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals respectively for Toa Baja in the defeat. Five Cangrejeras and four Toa Baja players scored in double figures. Cangrejeras maintains second place with 13-5 record having just thirteen point less than leader Carolina. Toa Baja lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
