Regular Season Round 11: Humacao - Fajardo 87-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Grises (5-4) beat 4th placed Cariduros (5-6) in Humacao 87-81 on Monday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-1989, college: FIU) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 4 assists. American-Mexican center Daniel Amigo (208-1995, college: Denver) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Belardo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. International forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-1993, college: Manhattan) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Cariduros in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Grises moved-up to fourth place. Cariduros lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Grises will again meet at home Cariduros (#5) in the next round. Cariduros will play against the league's leader Vaqueros and hope to secure a win.
